Monster Truck Madness – It’s Out There

I’m pretty much the last person that needs to tell ya’ll that 2020 isn’t exactly great. For me, it’s been the toughest year of my life. Emotionally and professionally. At some point here I’m going to write about one of those reasons- the loss of my dear Dad- but those words continue to be much too tough to write.

You know what, though? I’m not here to bring gloom. There is enough of that out there. It’s for that reason that I’m about to comment on a rumor, and I really try and NOT do that in this space. At least not this specific.

There has long been a rumor that a legendary name in the hobby is getting into the solid axle monster truck game. I’ve heard many of those over the years, especially since starting this column and helping with the Trigger King YouTube channel, so I always take them with a grain of salt.

But what if a rumor isn’t a rumor anymore? What if it’s something you now know does exist…and then happen to know people who may of actually had trigger-time with it? And maybe they called you to talk about it? It’s not a rumor anymore, is it?

It’s not.

2020 has been garbage folks, so I’m here to brighten the moods of some of you.

There is something coming in this space. Something that sounds like it could finally be the true revolution this segment of the hobby needs. Yes, there have been some great releases in the past…but if what my trusted sources are telling me (these are some hardcore M/T guys, guys that I REALLY trust to know their stuff) we are in for a major, major treat.

Oh, and if that wasn’t enough, there are also a slew of new and interesting bodies that are about to come out as well.

Hope you all have full piggy banks!

Yeah, 2020 is rough. But at least there is a silver lining for the r/c monster truck fan. It’s about to get good. Hope you all have a great week, and I promise I won’t mention this “rumor” again until it’s something we’ve all actually seen.
