Novak Edge 2S Racing and Timbuk2 Crawler ESCs

Today Novak sent out some info on two new speed controllers they have coming soon. The first is the Novak Edge 2S Racing ESC. The Edge is small, lightweight and ideal for those 1/10th and 1/12th scale racing vehicles, both on-road and off. It boasts being on of the smallest ESC’s under $100, and includes on-board programming, temperature monitoring, thermal overload protection, and built-in voltage cut-off circuitry and follows ROAR Sportsman guidelines. I have to admit it does look small compared to that Traxxas connector on there! You can get it with a Traxxas or Tamiya plug.

The second ESC they announced is the Timbuk2 Crawling ESC. It offers improved on-board programming and advanced MOSFET technology in a smaller size than their previous awesome GOAT System. So if you were a fan of the GOAT, and need a upgrade, or just looking for a new crawling ESC, you may want to check this one out.

In other Novak news, they announced a new Smart-Stop Auto-Detect LiPo Cut-Off Module. This new module auto-detects the LiPo battery voltage (2S, 3S, or 4S) and prevents the battery pack from going below the critical safety voltage. The design has also been improved to work with a broader range of ESCs, including Traxxas ESCs.
