Raging Rotors: What I REALLY want for Christmas…

Hot-Sauce2-iHobby-2014Hello, and Happy Thanksgiving Eve to you all! It was neat to see what everyone wanted under the tree in this week’s Cub Report, and yes, I did ask for an Arrma Typhon. That truck is ridiculous! Yet, I wasn’t ready to spoil my whole list, because that’s my job. Here are the top things on my Christmas list this year, which may make you want to change yours:

Lynxmotion Quadrino Nano Flight Controller: Recently Lynxmotion and FlyingEinstein got together and created a compact (approx 5x5cm) multirotor stabilization system in a self-contained, damped case with every bell and whistle possible pre-installed! This thing has GPS, compass, barometer (altitude sensor), accelerometers, and gyroscope. It also has ports for even more expansion, not like there is much left to install. This bad boy retails for $150, but is on special for $100 as they are taking preorders for their December release. Check out all the details on Lynxmotion’s website by Clicking Here.

Blade Nano QX FPV BNF: Being a proud owner of the FatShark Predator V2 goggles, I was excited to see the Bind-N-Fly Nano FPV. I love FPV everything (quad racer should be done tomorrow 😉 ), and having something small to putz around with around the house, as well as wow friends and family is always a plus. The RTF version sells for around $420, and the BNF (w/o radio and goggles) is $150. Pre-orders are still available at Horizon Hobby’s website.

SAB Helidivision Goblin 380: Granted I haven’t even flown my Goblin 570 yet, but nothing says fun like 450 sized fun on 600 size power! Pick the right electronics, and this helicopter will fly on 6S LiPo. This is also an easy build kit, as it only has around 40 parts. Santa would be coming late with this one, as it will start shipping around mid-January, but the frame kit can be yours (no electronics included) for $395. More details can be seen on HeliDirect by following the link.

From my family to yours, have a wonderful Thanksgiving!! Enjoy your turkey, the shopping, and always show off your toys to family (I know I will!). Until next time, Stay Shiny and Keep Flyin’!
