Blue Groove RC Concepts – Pro Grip Review

Blue Groove RC Concepts We recently got our hands on (literally) the
Blue Groove RC Concepts Pro Grip, and the Pro Grip 2 QR (Quick Response). This is one of those love it or leave it products. Either you are going to pick up the controller, give the wheel a twist and say “aww yea.. this is what I needed!” or you are going to say “Um… no thanks” and put it down. Drivers are finicky like that.
Blue Groove RC Concepts
Installation wasn’t too bad, but make sure you read the simple instructions and take the wheel off your controller first! These things are a TIGHT fit. Seriously! I broke a small sweat trying to install the green one there, and if you don’t take the wheel off first you are gonna bust something.

Blue Groove RC Concepts Take your time, and get it right! Like I mentioned above, we are a finicky bunch. If the grip does not feel good, take it off, rotate it slightly, and doing it again. The best way to track this, take a sharpie marker or something, make a small mark on the grip and the wheel to know where you had it lined up, then make a very small adjustment. This thing isn’t going to slip, so you will need to take it off, and wrestle it back on. Placement is important! If you are off by just a little, your fingers won’t feel right, and you are not going to be happy.

Blue Groove RC Concepts Personally I was a bigger fan of the original Pro GRip (blue) one seen here because of the bigger indentions. I liked being able to get my fingers in between the groves. The groves on the thinner Pro Grip 2 (green) one just didn’t do it for me. Your millage may vary. So if you see them in a hobby shop, make sure to pick up both, and get a feel for what you might like.

As with all our stuff, if you see me at a bash or at the track, feel free to stop by, say hi and check out the stuff! I’ll give ya some stickers, and even let ya try stuff! (maybe… if you ask nice)
