Redcat Ascent-18 Brushless High-Steer RTR
Who’s ready for more brushless, 1/18-scale crawler goodness? Redcat has announced the release of its next-generation Ascent-18 Brushless HS, a ready-to-run (RTR) crawler based on the original Ascent-18, but with a few updates.
For starters, Redcat has blessed this crawler with a 3450KV brushless motor, the same one found in their just-released Ascent-18 Scout II Brushless trail truck. Also borrowed from the brushless Ascent-18 Scout is the redesigned, High-Steer steering assembly. Improving both ground clearance and turning radius, this brushless version of the Ascent-18 should be an even better crawler than the original.
In the appearance department, Redcat has equipped this mini crawler with an old-school, performance-minded body that features massive wheel arches and chopped fenders that prioritizes crawling prowess. Two body color options are available to choose from (green and orange), and both are paired with black-wheeled, larger-sized tires.
