Redcat Ascent-32 V2 (Micro-crawler Boogaloo)

Redcat has announced the release of its revamped Ascent-32 V2 micro R/C crawler. With the original Ascent-32 released less than a year ago, they’ve listened to feedback and have tuned and tweaked this model to offer a better crawling experience, whether you’re exploring indoors or out.

While the first generation of the Ascent-32 had plenty of power, it needed a little refinement to put it on the same level as other ultra-small crawlers. For this second iteration, Redcat’s engineers focused on improving the Ascent-32’s performance on several fronts.

For starters, the Ascent-32 V2 uses a 2S LiPo battery, offering more power than its predecessor, oil-filled shocks for improved stability and less bounce, and a lower gear ratio to provide more low-end finesse.

If you’re looking at upgradability, Redcat has that covered as well, using a three-wire servo to allow for greater compatibility with aftermarket options, along with a redesigned transmission and motor mount to allow for easier brushless upgrades.

The body style of the Ascent-32 V2 remains unchanged; however, you’ll find four new colors to pick from: pink, red, blue, and green. All of these colors have a flake-free finish, making them easy to differentiate from the original Ascent-32.
