Redcat Revamps the Ascent-18 with a New Body, Colors, and High Steer
Redcat has rolled out a revamped Ascent-18 crawler, giving fans of 1/18-scale crawling a new option with improved steering performance. The Ascent-18 High Steer RTR brings the fenderless, crawler-focused body and High Steer performance from the Ascent-18 Brushless and marries them to a budget-friendly, yet capable, 180-size brushed motor.
This updated, 1/18-scale rig takes the same capable, fun chassis foundation of the classic Ascent-18 and gives it a body designed for maximum wheel clearance when tackling tough terrain.
Along with the body, this refreshed Ascent-18 features Redcat’s High Steer front axle design, which offers improved ground clearance and steering angle.
With the new body, Redcat is offering four color options for the Ascent-18, blue, pink, red, and light green.
