Redcat Vertex-10 RTR & Slider Chassis Kit

Redcat has unveiled its newest performance-focused crawler line, the Vertex-10. With four options in the product lineup, the first two appear to be geared toward R/C crawling enthusiasts seeking a solid performer with trail-truck DNA.

The Vertex-10, offered as both an RTR and a pre-built slider, is more than a scaled-down version of the mega-sized Vertex-6. This 1/10-scale crawler platform prioritizes performance over scale looks, with plenty of features to back that up.

For starters, the Vertex-10 features a flat-rail carbon fiber chassis, blending durability with lightweight performance. Riding on portal axles, the Vertex-10 RTR and Vertex-10 Slider both offer an impressive turning radius with a steering angle rated at 58 degrees.

Both models also feature aluminum-bodied, oil-filled air-emulsion shocks for smooth, consistent performance. Along with these shocks, both the RTR and slider versions of the Vertex-10 include aluminum chassis and suspension links.

While both models share many components, there are major differences between them.

For hobbyists who want to open the box and hit the rocks, the Vertex-10 RTR lets you do just that as it’s pre-assembled and outfitted with everything you need to hit the course. Powered by a Hobbywing WP-10BL60 1700kv Brushless Motor and featuring plastic 1.9" beadlock wheels and 4.75" tires, this rig is ready to go as soon as you plug in a battery.

Two body color options are available (blue and green), and both feature a clipless body mounting system for a clean-looking exterior.

If you prefer to pick your own components, the Vertex-10 Slider gives you that opportunity, along with a leg up on the overall build process. The chassis is pre-assembled and includes a pre-cut, unpainted body. You’ll just need to supply your own motor, ESC, radio, wheels, tires, and battery to get this rig up and running.
