Sooooo….after the onslaught of news over the last week I think it’s pretty safe to say that large scale r/c is the new hotness. The industry has been trending that way for awhile now, but the X-Maxx will most likely blow it wide open. With that in mind, plus the myriad of various large scale crawlers available on the market, I’m now jonesing for a [...]
In the go big or go home category, the Losi Mini WRC 1/5th Scale RTR from Horizon Hobby certainly goes big! When we first heard that Losi was doing another 1/5th scale vehicle, we were glad to see they were going to do something a little different. The Losi 5IVE-T set the bar pretty high. While the rally car scene [...]
We got our hands on the new Losi 5IVE Mini WRC Rally Car, and it’s out of the box! This thing is a beast! Slightly bummed they cut the giant hole in the front windshield of such a nice looking body. Would of liked the option of cutting it ourselves to a smaller size, or coming up with a more [...]
Now, I’ll admit I’m a big fan of watching large scale RC fly, drive, whatever.. but this would be insane. According to the press release “In cooperation with the U.S. Army, Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. has successfully demonstrated optionally piloted flight of a Black Hawk helicopter, a significant step toward providing autonomous cargo delivery functionality to the U.S. Army. Sikorsky [...]

We have given away thousands of dollars in prizes before, but never such a large prize to one winner, and that winner could be you! The deadline [...]

This is easily one of the largest RC jets I have ever seen fly. It’s crazy huge at a scale of 1:15, about 16 feet long, and almost 3 gallon fuel tank! The Airbus A380 is impressive to hear, and see fly.. check out the video below.
Our friends from Hemistorm recently posted a video Visiting the FG Factory (yes the high-end 5th scale stuff) – and had a chance to interview Mr. F. Gröschl. It’s subtitled for your convenience since these guys are over in Germany. Some interesting stuff, and worth checking out if you are into a little large scale industry stuff. Check the full [...]

We just received a link from Mammuth Works where they have gotten their 1/3 Scale Mammuth Rewarron Truck out and running to start doing a little testing. This is literally a ‘first test’ so they are taking it easy while they work out the details. Anything that size, you have to take pretty seriously and take your time with the [...]
