Hello friends, fans and haters, you have successfully made it to yet another cream filled edition of THE Cub Report, congrats! Just a few months ago I was outside my house blasting down the street and bust’n some big flips with my Losi 8ight-E. You see it was X-mas break and the weather was unseasonably warm for the Midwest, [...]
Recently we mentioned the new Hemistorm Penta body for the Losi 5IVE-T. We were just sent a link from over on LargeScaleRC about this crazy custom paint job. The thread is huge with a lot of step by step, but we got a few pictures to post up here. So if you were thinking about picking up a new body, [...]
For those of you that have been waiting and hoping for someone to finally release a new body for the Losi 5IVE-T, your wait is over! The folks over at Hemistorm have released their Penta body for the Losi. It fits directly onto the 5IVE-T with no modifications needed, and it’s actually a pretty cool looking body. So if you [...]
Recently RPM released a Front Bumper and Skid Plate for the Losi Ten SCTE. They just announced a new Rear Skid Plate to round off their set. As bashers we really believe in the RPM products. We use them whenever we need to fix/replace a part, so if you have a Losi Ten SCTE in need of some better protection [...]
New from Outerwears are the Losi 5ive T Shockwears. Shockwears are a great way to keep the dirt and grime off the rods and springs. Those 1/5th scales shocks are big, and we all know bashers hate to clean stuff. Head on over to the Outerwears web site or ask for them at local hobby shop.
Looks like RPM is jumping on the Losi SCTE bandwagon and is releasing a Front Bumper and Skid Plate for the truck. These two parts offer more protection and durability. They also allow for the installation of the RPM light canisters, and that looks pretty cool also. I know a few people that will be excited for this news. Check out [...]
Looks like Losi just announced the new 1/24 Micro Truggy. Comes RTR with oil filled shocks, 2-1 esc/receiver, molded composite chassis, it’s 4WD, threaded axles with no e-clips, and a AM radio. I guess to try and keep the price down they went back to a AM radio, because they just announced their Micro SCT was coming with a 2.4 [...]
Cubby, I’m looking at getting a mini to have fun with in and out of the house. Just wondering if you have any preference between the small scale stuff. RC18T or RC18r or losi 1/24 rally, I’ve ruled out the mini-z’s as they are indoor only. Also need to get something a 2year old can play with so a little [...]
Take a look at the new carbon goodness from Xtreme Racing for your Losi 5ive T. The lineup includes 6mm thick heavy duty shock towers for the front and rear, 3mm brake discs, mud guards, standard size servo mounts both with and without a pretty slick transponder mount and even a mount for your GoPro camera. For your [...]
Losi… Thank You! I know a lot of folks said this is how it should have been released the first time around. I’m glad to see they’ve finally released them. The Micro SCT and Rally are now 2.4ghz and brushless. They are still going with the 4.8v nimh to hit the $149 price point. Not only will the [...]
Losi Mini 8ight RTR ReviewDial King Squids phone,ring.. ring.. ring.. ring ring.. “This is Brian” “It’s 3DBill I’m at the field.. to windy to fly that tiny review plane.” Brian-“Hey I was gonna call you.. um you wanna review the Losi Mini 8ight?” Me – “Sure why not..” didnt have to twist my arm for that one. I’ve [...]
What an awesome Supercross race Saturday night! James “Bubba” Stewart is proving he needs some serious time with a sports psychologist. Bubba crashes more than the BSRC servers, and when he’s not busy crashing he’s not even close to his former “Fastest Man on the Planet” status. Speedy Reedy rode a smart race for points, it’s still early [...]
New from Method RC is the Sabre Buggy Body. The Sabre fits the TLR Losi 8IGHT (2.0 and 8IGHT-E 2.0). A few interesting highlights in their press release, Vortex generators on the nose and sidepods to direct more air towards the wing, compact body to reduce drag, clearance for most 4S lipos, and made from 0.040 lexan. They include [...]
After the success of it’s buggy counterpart, Team Losi have made a ready-to-run Stadium Truck version: the 22T. This has got to be one of the most advanced RTR’s on the market at the moment. Inside, you get a Spektrum DX3E radio with a SR300 receiver, a 13.5t sensored brushless system, gull wing suspension arms and a newly designed bearing [...]
