The guys over at Vaterra have recently released a new scale kit with many new ideas that simply aren’t availible anywhere else. Earlier this week I was able to get my hands on a brand new Vaterra Ascender kit! This truck has had all sorts of rumors going around about it, good and bad honestly I belive there is some serious [...]
The folks at Tower Hobbies have been a cornerstone for the rc hobby for decades, perhaps getting more new people into the hobby than any other single retailer. Tower recently announced a new 4wd SCT called the Cutback. The Cutback is aimed right at the bashing crowd and comes RTR, making it easy to go right from the box to [...]
The quadcopters from Dromida just keep coming, and just off the truck and on the shelves of local hobby shops is the Kodo, a new flipping, camera touting, bug-looking quadcopter. This quad can flip, take pictures and video, and can be picked up for only $60. I know we gave at least one away at iHobby, but now I get my own to [...]
Yep, the review has been posted… but there are a few things that we didn’t show that are in the box that we felt needed to be shown. Plus, we didn’t show the box in the review. Everyone likes to see what the boxes look like, what they say, etc. So enjoy the unboxing photos of the Axial Yeti XL! [...]
Electric might be the dominant force in rc right now, but there are still plenty of bashers that enjoy the smell of nitro in the morning. There is something about the sound and smell of nitro that some hobbyists can’t live without. The Duratrax Camaro ZL1 has been out for a while now, but we recently got one to review. It [...]
VRX Racing is an affordable line-up of cars and trucks that our next door neighbor at iHobby, IMEX RC, had just picked up. The guys at IMEX set us up with a review car so we could give it a good thrashing and see how it held up. We haven’t started testing on the VRX XR4 Rally Car yet, but [...]
By now you’ve certainly heard about the new 4PX flagship radio from Futaba. With high-end performance and endless features, it truly is top-of-the-line. We recently unboxed our review unit and took a bunch of pictures while doing so. To see exactly what comes inside the box check out the two galleries below. While doing the unboxing we have already noticed a [...]
Aww heck yea! Our new ARRMA Kraton just showed up, and it’s time to unbox the beast! It’s strange holding such a large vehicle and seeing the ARRMA name on it. There is nothing more I want to do right now than get outside and start the bashing! I never really noticed the top roll-cage piece till now, and the [...]
I was lucky to get a new toy from our friends over at Hobbico: the newest addition to the Dromida by Revell line, the Ominus Quadcopter RTF. This quadcopter is built to be tough and the beating review is in process, but for now enjoy these unboxing pictures! #gallery-29 { margin: auto; } #gallery-29 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-29 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-29 .gallery-caption [...]
There is a new company on the rc landscape called Rage RC. The Rage line-up is brought to you by the folks over at HRP (Hobby & Recreation Products) and is focused on new hobbyists and people on a budget. We recently received several of their products for review so we took some pictures while we unboxed them to give [...]
The first time we saw the new Axial SCX10 RAM Power Wagon, we knew we couldn’t pass this one up! #gallery-37 { margin: auto; } #gallery-37 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-37 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-37 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */We dig the way the body can come apart, and the ability to add on the roll cage. [...]
Today we are sharing some pictures we took while unboxing the new ARRMA Mega Series Raider. The Raider was the first vehicle ever shown by ARRMA, this is the Mega Series version, ARRMA’s most affordable line intended for new drivers or people on a budget. The Raider is completely RTR, meaning it comes completely built and even includes a battery and [...]
Everyone hates making “the walk of shame”. You know what I mean, after a crash that shameful walk to flip your truck over while your “friends” poke fun at you. To permanently put an end to the walk of shame, the Torsional Concepts crew came up with the RhinoForce S2 Self-Righting System. The RhinoForce is designed to flip your truck back [...]
The Kyosho AXXE iReceiver Sand Buggy will be a historic vehicle for BigSquidRC. Why? Because it will be the first review we’ve ever done on a fully FPV surface machine. While there is a version of the AXXE that does come with a normal 2.4GHz transmitter, we’ll be reviewing the Wireless LAN Version with the optional camera. Our AXXE did not [...]
A while back I posted the first details of the EncoreRC Invertix400 full-3D capable quadcopter developed by Bobby Watts. The following weeks my email blew up from readers looking for more, or hoping we’d get to fly one and show off video. After talking with Mr. Watts for a few weeks, he got us our own Invertix to build and test! The review is [...]
