We have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of our Kyosho NeXXt Readyset, lo and behold it has finally hit our doorstep. At a quick glance there are a couple of things that stand out- the body is made out of hard plastic instead of polycarbonate, and it takes 6 screws to remove the body. Our complete review of the Kyosho [...]
We just got our hands on the Axial SCX10 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 2012, and wanted to share some unboxing photos before we start the testing (beating) for our review process. Out of the box first impressions, it looks good, and we are happy that there are not 35 body pins keeping us from getting to the guts on the inside! [...]
Another vehicle we have been looking forward to testing is the Helion RC Dominus 10TR which we just got our hands on. A 4WD Brushless Truggy for under $260 is the stuff bashers dream about. Testing starts soon, so watch for a review in the near future. Till then, enjoy the pictures. #gallery-5 { margin: auto; } #gallery-5 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: [...]
With Rally cars being all the rage suddenly, we also got our hands on the new Thunder Tiger 1/8 ER4 G3 BL RTR Mini Cooper Countryman. Don’t let the Mini Cooper appearance fool you because this beast is based on the Thunder Tiger MT4 we awarded Bash Vehicle of the Year to in 2011! If there is going to be a [...]
We got our hands on the new HPI Ken Block Rally WR8 Flux. A few people in the office have been waiting to get their hands on this one, so we are going to be drawing straws or just a flat out brawl to see who gets to do the review in the office. Till then, enjoy pictures. #gallery-15 { margin: auto; } #gallery-15 [...]
Last up for our Team Durango RTR unboxing is the Durango DEX210 RTR Buggy! Cubby has been chomping at the bit to get this out in the dirt! Watch for a full review soon. #gallery-21 { margin: auto; } #gallery-21 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-21 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-21 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */ #gallery-22 { margin: auto; } #gallery-22 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: [...]
Time to unbox the second Team Durango RTR. This time up we have the new Durango DEST210 RTR! Just like the short course truck, this one also has a Speed Passion brushless combo. Can’t wait to get these things testing. #gallery-25 { margin: auto; } #gallery-25 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-25 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-25 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php [...]
Way back when we posted in our rumor mill about the Team Durango RTR editions, more than a few people got excited. Well, we finally got our hands on them! Up first is the Durango DESC210 Short Course Truck. In person that read is as bright as it looks in the pictures. You will have no problem spotting this thing [...]
We just posted the Brian Deegan Rally Car Photos, so now it’s time for the Atomik RC 1/18 scale Metal Mulisha Short Course Truck! Can’t wait to get these vehicles tested! Out of the box they are looking great. The paint schemes look really cool. #gallery-33 { margin: auto; } #gallery-33 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-33 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-33 [...]
A lot of bashers have been excited about Atomik RC working with Brian Deegan on all their new vehicles. We got our hands on the 1/18 Scale Rally Car and the 1/18th scale Short Course Truck, and wanted to get some pictures posted for your viewing pleasure. Expect reviews coming soon! #gallery-37 { margin: auto; } #gallery-37 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-37 [...]
The Kyosho Mini-Z Moto Racer bikes finally came out last week and I eagerly picked up 4 of them to add to the Chicago Mini R/C fleet. What you get inside the box is the new KT-19 transmitter, the motorcycle itself (assembled and ready to run), a USB charger (mini-USB on the charger, standard USB on the power side), a 120mah [...]
What you see above, is the Traxxas John Force Funny Car at around 1pm today. The cleanest it’ll ever look and it didn’t last long. What you see below is what happened 5 hours later or about 3 cycles on a 5000mah 3s lipo. From what I’m told, if you participate in the current drag racing scene, that’s about 3 [...]
Well we finally got our hands on the HPI Racing Bullet MT Flux! I have to say, out of the box, the initial impressions are darn good! We really dig the paint scheme with the sort of candy grey paint. Everything looks solid, and the new TF-40 stock radio feels good in the hand! I really dig the orange aluminum.. [...]
The review of the Kyosho DBX VE 2.0 buggy has begun but until it’s done, this unboxing should hold you over. I know it isn’t a short course but on paper, the closest thing I want to compare this to on “features for the price” is the Traxxas Slash 4×4. Given that, at $369.99 street it appears it’ll be a [...]
We just got our hands on the Axial Ridgecrest. So before we go out and beat up on it, here are the unboxing photos while it’s still nice and shiny. I think Adam the Intern has been wanting to get his hands on one, and since he’s been the resident scale/crawler guy lately, I’ll be handing it off to him [...]
