THE Cub Report – Shady’s Back

Well hello there fellow hobbyist, welcome to THE freak’n Cub Report. I hope your Monday is going well and that you didn’t destroy too much of your fleet over the weekend.

Ya, we may have kept our first “Thursday Night Live” broadcast a bit under the radar, but it went unexpectedly well. Therefore, we are going to keep at it. You old schoolers surely remember our old Google Plus live shows, so we are no strangers to that game, but even we knew what we were doing back then just wasn’t what we wanted. We kinda just sat around bored silly and the format just was not entertaining. Furthermore, the market just wasn’t ready for it yet. Now it is.

Last week our Thursday Night Live show was a blast. We expected all sorts of technical difficulties, but except for our data cell phone timing out at the 15 minute mark and some microphone issues, we were pleasantly surprised. Ok, so while we plan on doing the show on Thursday nights, this week will be an exception. The BSRC Bash Crew will be in Champaign IL this Friday night, so look for us to go live on our Facebook page at “around” 7pm CST. Who is gonna be on the show? Last week we had scaler guy Doug Welker, drone guy Andrew Schaefer, and T-$$$, all out bashing the Traxxas TRX-4. This week we will be surrounded by Horizon Hobby employees, so who knows? ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh… don’t forget our H U G E Spring Bash & Smash is nearly here. It goes down Saturday, June 17th in St. Charles Illinois. We’ve got loads of prizes, lots of fun events, and one lucky person is even going to go home with a brand new Traxxas TRX-4! Never been to a bash before? No worries, just grab your gear, it is super easy to sign up and Brian will be announcing the events to make sure you know when and where to be for each event. Oh and, we’ll have our beautiful BSRC Girls there too, that way you can to take some cool pics with them.

Ummmmm…. ya. How many weeks in a row have I talked about the Traxxas TRX-4? Well, don’t expect for that to stop any time soon as it is taking off like crazy. The truck has been hitting consumer hands for around a week, now we are just waiting for an absolute avalanche of aftermarket parts to be announced. That will take a few weeks, and seeing as the truck is rock solid out of the box, there aren’t many “must have” upgrades, but we aren’t far away from seeing just how trick it can be with hop-ups. Oh and… many of those new parts are going to be via Shapeways. The TRX-4 will be the first truck that really takes off in the 3D Printing Arena. Wild times ahead, I tell ya.

Ok, that’s it for this week. Our entire BSRC Bash Crew thanks you for reading our website and we hope you have a fun-tastic week. Until next time, get out and support your local hobby shops and bash spots when ya can.
