The Eagle Has Landed, Unboxing The Traxxas TRX-4!!!
Here’s what we’ve all been waiting for, the Traxxas TRX-4 Scale & Trail Crawler!!! The amount of buzz surrounding the TRX-4 is enormous, now with our unboxing pictures you too can have a look at its packaging and detailed photos of everything that comes in its box.
How did the unboxing go? It went well. The TRX-4 comes with a protective plastic covering to keep its body in tip-top shape during shipping, and it also comes with a piece of additional plastic to help protect its front grill. Once we had the truck out into our hands, it has some weight, but isn’t as insanely heavy as some crawlers on the market. At first glance the body appeared to be completely made out of hard plastic, but it is not, it is polycarbonate. The nicely formed body is surrounded by lots of hard plastic parts like the inner fenders, roof rack, etc, and we have to say that Traxxas really outdid themselves on this one, the body is truly a stunner.
The tires on the TRX-4 are molded from the softest rubber that we have ever seen on a Traxxas vehicle. In our full review you can find out if they perform as good as they look. We also noticed that the supplied transmitter is somewhat different than a standard unit. It has a switch on the top for locking the diffs and a thumb switch on the side for changing between low and high gears.
All in all, the TRX-4 was well packaged and our test unit arrived in perfect shape. We’ve been out putting it through its paces, don’t forget to visit our website on Wednesday to read our full review.
