The bash had more scalers and what not than your standard high speed bash so no, there weren't truggies or buggies. There were several standard slashes, stampedes and big monster trucks, all of which the 3S Yeti screamed over.

I'm well aware of the early faults that I've heard other people talk about with the Yeti (plastic hexes stripping, gears eaten, etc). It's why I've been apprehensive adopting the platform early in the first place. That being said, those faults were not on display with this model and I can't pull them out of thin air just because I've seen others complain online. I should also note that my friend Steve did a "pre-flight check" before bashing it.

I had a lot of fun with the model and plan on purchasing one. I'm sort of holding out for Axial to inevitably release a kit (who knows when/if though).

Thanks for continuing to read Jon, I assure I'm on the up and up. Whenever I do wind up cutting a check for one I'll be hard on it and will definitely report anything I see, good or bad.

Ooops meant that as a general reply. No way can i believe that there was not a 4wd independent suspension vehicle at the bash...unless only 3 ppl showed up. And no way can i believe that the yeti 'shamed' those trucks.

This reads like a thinly veiled advertisement.

The air that we were getting with the Yeti put the other vehicles at the bash to shame.

REALLY??? NO slashes, truggies, etc showed up? You cant mean that the yeti jumps better than them.......

Wow.

You beat on this thing and that all youve noticed??

Mine has had its frist run today, and after checking/tightening everything, i pulled the wheels off and the hubs have been completely chewed out in the rear.

Not to mention the servo saver is useless and is too weak to allow any control of the wheels.

With the tyres, i was traction rolling and doing endo's on grass, flat out. For really loose stuff and crawling i can see where the issue would be.

Also, im really surprised you didnt get ANY cogging. Mine cogs flat out on low throttle input when trying to climb something as slow as possible.

now axial just needs to figure out an IFS front end for their SCX frame rails so we can start making some really cool scale late model pick ups! sure, a 2010 Silverado will look cool with a solid front axle, but I have seen plenty of trail worthy full size trucks with IFS!

Actually I've heard that the HPI RS4 diff internals are actually much stronger than either the axial or wheely king ones and fit fine. The part number is 86014. I've never tried those personally though so I can't vouch for it, but nonetheless want to pass the info along :)

Ha, great name there. Yes, the part numbers for the axial spiders are - AX30390 and AX30170 for the idler shafts. For the HPI's the number is A850. You get everything in the HPI kit for one diff so its a bit cheaper.

Thanks for reading and hopefully you aren't "Yetiless" much longer!
